The Kanyisa Hass Avocado Project is an initiative of the Kanyisa Food Security Foundation, aimed at contributing to the improvement of rural household incomes in Uganda through the promotion of the cultivation, production, processing and marketing of quality fresh Hass Avocado variety and avocado oil for the domestic and export market.

Kanyisa has already embarked on a process of establishing a Hass Avocado Orchard, sitting on 250-acre land in Lugushuru sub county, Sembabule District, to support smallholder farmers’ demonstration and training activities.

Kanyisa has also embarked on the establishment of seedlings nursery bed for the Hass Avocado variety.
